We heard you Edmonton! For all of you who want to play in the mud but there’s just not enough class space for you here’s a little treat! Perfect for beginners. We are going to premake all the parts you need for a dreamy teapot. We will teach you how to assemble the pieces to make a functional vessel. Then there will be a number of decorating techniques to explore for you to truly individualize your teapot. Then we hold on to it as it dries, we fire it and glaze it! The process takes about 3-4 weeks. Then we call you to come pick them up.
Custom firing
Already well versed in the techniques and have a wheel at home but need access to a kiln? Bring your kiln ready pieces to us. Firing costs are based on spaced used in the kiln when firing cone 04, 06 and 6. We will measure your pieces and give you an estimate. If you need a different firing service we will charge by the kiln load. If you are interested call us or email for more information.
Types of Firings for our Students
Our students get to experience different opportunities when the arise. We have wood fires 2 times a year where our students get to learn the process and have their pieces kissed by the fire. Along with these we do raku and the occasional soda & salt firing. It’s a real treat for our studio community.
