Having first discovered pottery in high school, I quickly found that I had a passion for clay. Nearly 9 years later, and my enthusiasm and excitement for making creative, functional art has only grown.

I started working at Viva Clayworks two years ago, helping out with the children’s classes. They bring an amazing energy to the studio and it’s so refreshing to see how young minds react to the medium of clay. Seeing how much fun they have and watching them progress is one of the real perks of the job.

Recently I’ve been lucky enough to get some commission work, making jewellery holders for a local store, and I also made a set of lampshades for a new vegan restaurant in downtown Edmonton.

Since I started working at the studio, every day is a gratifying learning experience and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better job.
